Healing Our First Gen Stories

On a mission to create a space where first-gen Latinas feel seen, supported, and connected as we embrace our journeys and the challenges we face, we are teaming up with Kenia Margarita and Denise Garduño. Join us for Amor Movement’s first virtual event on August 24! Let’s embrace our first-gen stories juntas and connect with our fellow first-gen Latinas.  

Meet The Hosts: 

Kenia Margarita is a creative entrepreneur, life coach, educator, and poet dedicated to empowering others to own their worthiness, show up authentically, and live a fulfilling life. Her passion and dedication to her roots and community grew daily as she navigated life through the lens of being an undocumented, first-generation, Latina immigrant. In 2020, she published her poetry book “Versos Del Viento” to showcase her experience as an undocumented immigrant and first-generation Latina. Her life purpose is to stand in her power (embrace her worthiness, share her voice, live authentically, and create intentional safe spaces) and inspire her community to do the same!  

Denise Garduño is a Mexican-American first-generation graduate and the eldest daughter of immigrant parents. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Financial Freedom Coach. Denise is on a healing journey, dedicated to creating generational wealth and healing. She is passionate about personal finances, breaking cycles, and continuously learning about self-love and self-care. She honors her ancestors and shares her gifts with her comunidad. As a Financial Freedom Coach, Denise offers 1:1 sessions to help individuals identify the best strategies to put their money to work for them!
